Help with beginning programming class

I know this may seem odd, but since the community has so many smart  and techno people I thought I'd toss it out here. I'm having a lot of problems with my programming class. Right now I'm just trying to learn the basics and even though my instructor helps some, it's an online class and she and I seem to not be able to get on the same page. So I decided to reach out.

I'm still using psuedocode because languages are next semester. I'm stuck right now on if-then-else statements, along with some other problems.

I know that I'm a bit late to post, but I feel your pain. Last year I missed an entire week of my programming class due to having come down with the flu, and trying to keep up while at home with nothing but my textbook to guide me was very difficult. What programming language are you using? We learned Microsoft Visual Basic, and if that's what you are using, then I can def. help you with those. If...then...else statements are pretty easy once you get the hang of them.
